Susteau

The brand was formerly called, OWA Haircare (Out of this World Amazing) and was a trailblazer in the waterless haircare category, the world’s first powdered shampoo.

As Susteau, the rebrand has been featured in Vogue, Allure, WGSN, and countless other publications won the The 2021 Beauty Inc Awards for Most Innovative Hair Product.

Rebrand

I was responsible for the rebrand. I started by developing a globally trademarkable brand name that would convey the truly innovative mission of the founder, Kailey Bradt. As someone who loves sustainable beauty, this was a dream project for me.

I worked directly with the brand’s founder, their leading advisors, and their industrial designer/art director to understand the origins and long-term roadmap so I could develop a brand that communicated their futuristic vision for personal care.

This was followed by designing their new logo, tagline, packaging, voice & tone, and creative direction for new visuals.

Sephora Retailer Pitch

Following the founder’s acceptance into the Sephora Accelerate program, I worked directly with Kailey and the brand’s leading adviser to develop and design the narrative, data points, and overall pitch deck for acceptance to retail.

Following a successful pitch, my work shifted to execution, with photography to support the new eCommerce website and online launch at Sephora.
